When the Dubai Airshow opens its doors soon at DWC, Dubai Airshow site, visitors can expect to see a larger number of exhibitors and exciting new features in addition to the appearance of industry heavyweights and niche companies.
With over 1200 exhibitors expected, including around 100 taking part for the first time, visitors will be able to maximise their networking and business opportunities at the region’s largest aerospace event.
Many exhibitors at the Dubai Airshow cite the international appeal of the show as an important reason to attend. Boeing stated in its latest market outlook that “The region is in the ‘middle’ of massive potential” and the Dubai Airshow is in an ideal position as a central hub, making it perfectly placed for the industry to meet and do business. A large number of exhibitors travel from all around the globe to be part of the Dubai Airshow, with 30% of exhibitors from Europe and 40% from the Middle East, plus many from further afield, the Dubai Airshow will host representatives from the global aerospace industry.
In addition, around 10% of the exhibitors travel from the Americas with the majority of these hailing from the USA and Canada, including PBS Aerospace from the USA and CAE from Canada.
Many of the show’s first time exhibitors this year come from around the globe including Malaysia Trade Centre (MATRADE) from Malaysia, Bertin Technologies from France, Aerospace Maintenance Solutions from the USA and TBS from Bulgaria, plus plenty of new representatives from across the Middle East.
This year will also see the addition of new sector focused features including Space, produced in partnership with the UAE Space Agency; UAS Summit; Cargo Zone and Airport Solutions Dubai. Each of these new features includes a high-level conference with industry leading speakers and panellists, plus a dedicated pavilion area within the Dubai Airshow for the entire five days.
In addition, popular features will also be returning to the show such as Gulf Aviation Training Event (GATE), dedicated to aviation training in the Middle East and Futures Day, designed to inspire the next generation of UAE aerospace professionals.
“The Dubai Airshow has grown every year since its inception in 1989,” says Michele van Akelijen, Managing Director of show organisers Tarsus F&E LLC Middle East. “The 2017 edition is no exception to this, with over 100 new exhibitors and the addition of the new feature conferences and pavilions, the Dubai Airshow represents all aspects of the aerospace industry.”
The Dubai Airshow takes place from 12-16 November, including the Space Conference on the 13-14 November; GATE on the 13 November; the Cargo Zone Conference on the 13 November; the UAS Summit from 14-15 November; Airport Solutions Dubai 14-15 November and Futures Day on the final day of the show, 16 November.[srizonfbalbum id=16]
