Brisbane Boat Show with more than 15 Tsd visitors


Another positive step for the marine industry at the Brisbane Boat Show.

The 57th Brisbane Boat Show closed tonight continuing the positive sentiment felt throughout the year. 15,727 visited over the three days with a strong showing from both committed buyers and those looking at ways to enter the lifestyle.


The event returned to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre last year and begun the process of rebuilding after some time away.

The event situated at the doorstep of Australia’s boat manufacturing hub provides the industry with an opportunity to show the local market what is new and the best that the market has on offer.

This combined with a bigger and broader visitor entertainment package provided the foundation for a great visitor experience.

Howard Glenn, National CEO of the Boating Industry Association said:

“When the doors to a show close, a whole new process of analysis begins. This will help us to better understand the results and prepare for next year’s event. The event’s success can only continue if we build a bigger and better program for next year”.

Glenn said that

“Both consumer and exhibitor research will now commence to help us understand the real show result beyond the visitor numbers”

Planning for the 2018 calendar of boat shows will commence immediately with Brisbane scheduled for 24 to 26 August.
