Bottlenose Dolphin rescued from entanglement in Hawaii

On Friday, January 11th of 2013, a Bottlenose Dolphin was rescued from entanglement during the Manta dive at Manta Heaven.
The dolphin swam into a lighted area of divers looking obviously for help. The dive instructors noticed entanglement by fishing line that restricted movement. So they decided to help them.

(the interaction between dolphin and diver starts at min 4)

It was awe-inspring and a truly breathtaking experience. Martina Wing, who filmed the event, want to thank the dive professionals Keller Laros, Masa and Jason Keeffer who helped with the rescue.

It is also a testimony for the team work and cooperation of the different boat operators working together for the common goal of ocean conservation and taking care of the animals.

See the location here on Google Map.

Ocean Wings Hawaii, Inc. is located in Kailua-Kona on the beautiful west coast of the island of Hawai’i, which is also known as the “Big Island”.
