Join with us in celebrating the 15th anniversary of the HKSAR
WHAT – Wan Chai District Grand Sea, Land and Sky Parade
WHEN – Sunday 8 July 2012 – 1600hrs
WHERE – Victoria Harbour – West of the HK Convention and Exhibition Centre
WHY – To celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the establishment of the HK SAR
WHO – Any vessel capable of maintaining a consistent speed of 6 Knots over 2 miles in the Harbour.
A parade of all types of vessels (including vessels from Marine Department, Marine Police, Fire Services Department, Star Ferry, the Adventure Ship and a variety of local pleasure vessels) is planned for the afternoon of Sunday 8 July.
The muster point for the parade will be to the west of the HK Convention centre, and the route will pass in front of Bauhinia Square before dispersing to the north of the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter Breakwater.
The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club has been approached by the Wan Chai District Council to assist with running the sea parade, and to extend the invitation to our members and the general boating community to join in the celebrations.
