Around 35,000 people have visited the Show from April 27th to May 1st 2018 at Port of Palma.
98% of the exhibitors at Palma International Boat Show would like to take part in the next edition of the yachting event, according to the questionnaires filled out by the companies present at this year’s show. This confirms the business satisfaction and sales success of the Palma International Boat Show, which closes today at the Moll Vell in Palma.
The organisers reacted very positively to this result as it is a testament to how well all the new developments at the Boat Show this year have been received. From the extension of the exhibition surface area to the new design incorporating the floating bridge which links Consigna Jetty with Industria Pesquera dock.
One aspect to highlight is the opinion of visitors. They valued the quality of the products exhibited with a score of 9.3, a figure which shows that both the organisers and the exhibitors have been working hard to offer a show which is at once varied and very specialised. It is worth noting that one of Palma Boat Show’s most notable characteristics is the duality of what it has to offer. It features new yachts exhibited directly by shipyards and official distributors on the one hand, and super-yacht brokerage on the other, not forgetting a very important area dedicated to yacht re-fit and maintenance. Both strands complement each other perfectly, and according to visitor feedback, are very well received by the public.
The Palma International Boat Show is organised by IDI (Balearic Institute for Business Innovation) in collaboration with the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association (BYBA), who is responsible for the Palma Superyacht Show.
This 35th edition has been specifically characterised by the increase in surface area which has allowed for a 48% increase in the number of boats on the water, 300 in total this year. In addition, 260 companies have taken part in the yachting show which has taken place from the 27th of April to the 1st of May at Palma’s Moll Vell.
Exclusive worldwide launches
The Boat Show has once again been the venue chosen for many worldwide launches. This year, new boat ranges such as Astondoa, Nuva Yachts or Antonio Yachts have been launched for the first time by exhibitors during the Palma International Boat Show.
It is also worth noting that the show’s organising committee has once again presented its Marcial Sánchez Barcáiztegui award to a notable person in the sector. This year the prize went to Miguel Suñer, president of the Balearic Yacht Club Association.
