The vessel was mothballed at Bradford Marine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2009, during the economic downturn.
“I don’t think they wanted to be seen cruising around in a 150-foot Feadship with everything that was going on,” said worldwide central agent for the vessel, Whit Kirkland, whose father, Fred Kirkland, sold her to Malcolm Forbes in the mid-’80s. “In my opinion, the family felt it was just time to move on.”
She is listed by Bradford Marine Yacht Sales for $11.5 million.
