Comments from exhibitors on BOAT & FUN BERLIN 2017

A total of more than 43,000 visitors came to the BOAT GALA.

The successful opening event on the eve of the fair, as well as to the Berlin boating exhibition over the following four days.

Stephan Dohrmann, A.W. Niemyer:

”The standard of visitors was very high. Our impression was that visitors were really interested in our boats. Many had obtained information beforehand and specifically targeted our stand.”

Joachim Voss, CBC City Boat’s GmbH:

”We were very satisfied. Berlin has proved its worth as a place for Hamburg-based dealers to sell boats.“

Rainer Janke, Müritz Yacht Technik GmbH:

”BOAT & FUN BERLIN went very well for us, and as in previous years we were very satisfied. Berlin is an important market for us. We were really pleased with the way BOAT & FUN BERLIN has evolved. There has been steady expansion in the variety of boats and a significant increase in the standard of visitors.“

Torben Knappe, Jetten:

“BOAT & FUN BERLIN went very well for us. There were always lots of visitors on our stand. We did good business and gave out a lot of quotes. We were also able to organise a number of customer appointments for the coming weeks, which is fantastic.“

Angela Weidner, Palme Marin GmbH:

“Our impression of BOAT & FUN BERLIN was very positive and we also did excellent business.“

Marcel Ranke, Allert marin GmbH:

“Visitors to BOAT & FUN BERLIN were keen to find out more about our boats and yachts. We received a lot of fascinating questions. We are more than satisfied with the business we did at the fair.”

Torsten Diesenbruch, Bauhaus:

“The fair went very well for us. Visitors were impressed with the size of our stand and our general display. We were able to do very good business.“

Armin Buchardi, Aqua Marin:

“BOAT & FUN BERLIN is always worth our while. This year’s Boat Gala was outstanding and we very much enjoyed it.“

Christer T-Juneburg, Scandica Aluminium Angelboote:

“This was my first time at the fair. Scandica is just beginning to establish itself on the German market. I was able to sell around ten boats and am very pleased. I will be back next year on a bigger stand.“

Franz Haar, Allroundmarin Alltechnik GmbH:

“In terms of business we greatly benefited from not being in the Angling Hall this year. We sell sailing yachts as well as motor yachts. Our customers are both normal boat owners and fishing enthusiasts, and this year they even spent a bit more than usual.“

Patrick Dittmer, KaittsLdt./ Kajakprofi:

“Things went very well for us. We have sold 60 boats to date. Our test pool was always busy. A lot of visitors made spontaneous purchases.”

Djermo Uitvlugt, Hafenlodge:

“We build and rent out houseboats and for us Boat & Fun offers good business in both areas. During the week we had lots of trade visitors. On the weekend it was more members of the general public who were mainly interested in renting houseboats.“

Mike Randhagen, Flexmarine GmbH:

“Our product made a big impression and we experienced one of the best fairs ever. Customers really do come here to find out more, not just for window shopping, which is fine. They also come from the water sports industry. We made a number of promising appointments and hopefully will be able to do good business after the fair.“

Christian Strand, BENTE Yachts:

“The Boat Gala is always an outstanding event. The best conversations often took place when the noise was loudest. We met people who had got information beforehand, who specifically targeted our stand, and spontaneous visitors as well. Those occasions often resulted in sales.“

Reinhard Ernst, Serius:

“For us as wholesalers BOAT & FUN is a very important fair, as many of our customers exhibit here. That is good for cultivating relations. At this year’s BOAT & FUN BERLIN we also succeeded in gaining new customers.”

Thomas Hausch, Sealine:

“This was our first time as exhibitors at BOAT & FUN and we were pleasantly surprised. The Boat Gala was a highlight for us. We were able to do business even before the fair began. Visitors from Berlin are open-minded and witty, which helped make our appearance here a wonderful experience in the capital.“

Frank Schaper, Bootscenter B1

“We are manufacturers and dealers from the local region, which is why BOAT & FUN is a home game for us. For us as boatbuilders it is important not only to sell products to our customers and visitors, but also to give them an idea what water sports is all about. With the atmosphere it radiates BOAT & FUN is the perfect platform.“

Jürgen Dross, Bootsservice Dross:

“As local dealers BOAT & FUN BERLIN is very important for us. We never give this fair a miss. The Boat Gala alone is a major highlight.”

Stefan Seckler, Sea Ray:

“The fair went very well for us. Our outing to the Brandenburg Gate attracted a lot of attention.“
