AsBAA, Asia’s non-profit representative trade body for business and general aviation has announced VistaJet’s Ms Amy Yang as the newest member of its Board of Governors.
Ms Yang brings to AsBAA over 10 years of experience in aviation in which she has been responsible for developing marketing strategies, public relations, branding, and business development in the Asia-Pacific region. Her background is in developing campaigns that target ultra-high-net-worth individuals and other niche audiences, with a track record of producing double-digit yearly growth in sales returns on marketing investments.
Ms Yang joins AsBAA’s existing marketing and communications team of specialists, C*INC and CGA Helpdesk, as the association continues to expand its reach in Asia. AsBAA Chairman Charlie Mularski said: “AsBAA has been working with the authorities to improve transport links in the region that will include business and general aviation, create jobs and establish efficient transport hubs that drive economies. The public perception and understanding of business and general aviation is an important element of making these visions a reality. We are delighted to have Amy join AsBAA’s board to help support our work in this area.”
Ms Yang’s main responsibilities at AsBAA will be to advise and oversee its public relations capabilities, media relations, marketing and business development. She joins the association on a volunteer basis as she continues to lead on orchestrating marketing and PR strategies to build a global brand in regional markets at VistaJet.
Ms Yang is well known in the industry for developing marketing and PR campaigns that have supported VistaJet’s recent double-digit yearly growth in Asia, making the region one of VistaJet’s fastest growing markets. Ms Yang said:
“VistaJet’s fleet has grown from 32 aircraft in 2013 to more than 70 in 2017. A small team has transformed from a satellite office to the functional regional hub of a global corporation, receiving several awards in the process including AsBAA’s Best Charter Operator award. I am looking forward to putting my experience to good use to help AsBAA grow so that it can effectively represent the industry in Asia as it expands and matures.”
The strategic addition of Ms Yang to AsBAA’s Board of Governors will add experience in developing the China and Asia markets, helping AsBAA to build a consistent communications and marketing strategy that can enhance its brand in the region and develop communications with members and media in China and across Asia.
